SUSHI BAY KITCHEN & SAKE BAR: A Culinary Gem in Sarasota

This place is a gem. The atmosphere is clean, calm, and modern. The presentation is gorgeous and I haven’t been disappointed yet with the food quality. I love to come here to unwind and enjoy a nice meal.

Sushi Bay never fails to impress me! Wonderful owners who put heart into their food. #1 sushi around town! And if you're not a sushi fan, lots of other options that are also delicious.

TL;DR After finishing my review I realized I need a TL;DR. Go eat here, the food is AMAZING. This was the best culinary experience of my trip to Florida. We were looking forward to some Sushi. We weren't ready for the experience we got. The menu is huge, almost confusing. But then you start reading and everything sounds amazing. We worked hard trying to find something that didn't sound good on the menu. Ended up ordering at least six different rolls and a special. The presentation was impeccable. Every single thing we got was AMAZING. The service was quick and pleasant. The kitchen was clearly on their game because food arrived quickly, was presented beautifully and was just delicious. This place was so good that when we were wondering what to have tonight it was an easy choice to go back. We had another six rolls, all new no repeats. They were all just as good as the first night. If you like fish, if you like sushi. Do yourself a favor and visit this place, you will not be disappointed.

Had an incredible experience at Sushi Bay Sake Bar with my family! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the sushi was absolutely delicious. The Green River Roll was a standout, definitely recommend it! Timothy, our waiter, was fantastic he was attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience even better. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves fresh, high-quality sushi

Just had an outstanding experience at Sushi Bay, as it was my first time here, I didn't know what to expect. But I'll definitely try to return on any trip though town in the future. The freshness and thoughtful presentations were very professional and appreciated.

Loved loved loved. The food, the cat mural, The waitress, the plating, Amazing sunset reveal when they opend the blinds. Awesome place. Miso soup yum, seaweed salad so good, tossed salad nom nom. The ginger dressing was creamy and so tasty. Salmon hibachi, Mexican roll. Appetizers were spring rolls and they were amazing & steamed veggie gyoza, omg house made yummies. All so good.

Always love this place! The servers and owner are so nice, and the sashimi is great. Lots of options for kids too.

After 5 years of coming to Sushi Bay, it's still my #1 go-to when in the mood for sushi. The food is always spectacular, quality is above and beyond any other place in Sarasota, FL. and presentation is always beautiful. I will always recommend this place to family and friends who have a passion for sushi and are just plain ole sushi lovers - like myself. The owner, Mr. Chen and his wife are very personable and it's always a joy seeing them when I come in. Dwi is also an exceptional server who's priority is to ensure an enjoyable experience. He always takes time to have great conversations with us when we sit in his section and is timely and prompt with any requests. I would give 6 stars if that were an option!
